Decking: new decks and repairs

We build timber and composite decks, and repair or re-board existing ones, in gardens across South and West Wales.

Signs a deck needs work

  • Boards feel soft or bounce underfoot.
  • Algae has made the surface slippery.
  • Screws are loose or rusting and boards have split.
  • A handrail moves when you lean on it.

What the job covers

New decks are priced from the size, height and material.

[Confirm whether cleaning and oiling is offered]

What to send for a decking quote

A photo of the space from the house, with a tape measure in shot if you can, helps us price it.

Go to the form
  • The rough size and shape of the deck
  • Timber or composite, and a colour if you have one in mind
  • How high it sits above the ground, and any steps
  • Photos of the area
  • For repairs, photos of the damaged boards and the frame underneath if you can

Questions about decking

Timber or composite?

Timber costs less to buy and can be sanded and re-oiled. Composite costs more, needs no oiling and is less likely to split. Send the size and we can price both.

Can an old deck be repaired?

Often it can, if the joists underneath are sound. Send photos of the boards and, if you can, the frame underneath, and the quote will say whether repair or replacement makes sense.

Decking is ticked. For steps or a path down to the deck, add paving.
